How our System Works
Our cloud-based system allows you to upload documents at a file or folder level directly from your computer or via integrations with storage applications such as Box. Critical Query AI will then process the documents to meet your needs, whether you are looking just to create a searchable .pdf or want to perform a full file-level investigation. Searchable PDF Creation
Our modified version of the Tesseract OCR engine provides a robust and accurate way to recognize text in images. This turns a scanned PDF into a searchable PDF.
Redaction
Using machine learning and artificial intelligence, we have developed a smart redaction process that can identify, tag, and categorize text within documents, thereby streamlining an otherwise manual process. The user can then select names, addresses, phone numbers, or other personally identifiable information and remove it from electronic documents.

Investigatory Analysis
The Braided Data Solution software’s power is its ability to break down a document or set of documents to identify and tag targeted information. Information can be categorically identified and located, ranging from credit card numbers or Social Security numbers to business names and addresses. With this feature, the user can also link specific data together (such as a name and ID number) and identify those occurrences within a document set. Custom reports can then be exported in formats that are specified by the user. At a tool level, the user will have the ability to:

Medical Document Review
Critical Query was designed by Braided Data Solutions to solve the persistent problem of extracting pertinent information from patient medical records. Inefficiency and duplication have become so rife in medical documents that most just accept that frustration and wasted time are part of the process of finding key information needed to complete pharmaceutical or clinical research. But it doesn’t have to be! We combine advanced search functionality available in EPIC health records with deep learning and our artificial intelligence NLP to access information that is buried in the unstructured format of physician and nurse charting.
Automated Federal Timesheet Entry
Submitting billing information into the Federal eVoucher system has been time consuming, prone to errors due to double entry, and a generally unenjoyable process. For CJA 20, 21, 30 and 31, attorneys and support staff can now use evolveVoucher to upload bills directly from their timekeeping software into the Federal eVoucher system with just a few clicks. Enjoy a cup of coffee, read an article in the paper, enjoy a chapter in your favorite novel or simply take a power nap while our system does the work for you.

In working with Aptible’s B2B, a security management platform, we have created a review process that is rigorous and includes vendor qualification and security validation on how to ensure a holistic security management program in place from Day 0 for all of our customers. We use audits like SOC 2 and ISO 27001 and other trust-building activities to ensure that your data is secure at all times. We are constantly working to develop comprehensive and compelling answers to vendor security assessments. Braided Data’s capabilities include integration with standard systems (e.g. EPIC) and conformation to the rigorous demands of HIPAA to protect private and confidential information.
